IPS Cascais British International School is located close to Lisbon. The school has been educating children for more than 40 years and has an international community of over 400 children from 40 nationalities. Offering the National Curriculum for England from Early Years (EYFS) to Secondary, pupils are working towards achieving their IGCSEs and the school is intending to offer A-Levels in the 6th form.

Beyond the classroom
The school delivers a unique curriculum to enrich a child’s educational experience termed “The Journey”, it is a progressive skills-based programme that challenges pupils beyond the classroom.
Incorporating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals throughout all the activities, pupils develop practical skills in tool and woodwork, shelter and knots, fire and cooking, entrepreneurial farm to fork concepts, culminating in the International Duke of Edinburgh Award.
New Secondary School opening in September 2026
After more than 40 years of excellence, the school is expanding with a new purpose-built Secondary School, opening in September 2026.
Offering Years 7 to 13, it will provide pupils with the qualifications and experiences needed for universities worldwide. The new campus will feature modern classrooms, science laboratories, a library, technology suites, creative arts, sports facilities, and green spaces.
Designed with pupil learning and wellbeing at its heart, IPS Cascais will remain a small international school, ensuring personalised academic, social, and emotional support.
