The WCGC took executives, entrepreneurs and business leaders on a journey through some of Portugal's most spectacular golfing destinations while celebrating the connection between sport, networking and premium travel.

Beyond the leaderboard, the tournament reinforced Portugal's position as one of Europe's leading golf tourism destinations.

The season opened on São Miguel in the Azores, where Batalha Golf Club provided a dramatic setting for the first qualifier. Surrounded by volcanic landscapes and the Atlantic Ocean, participants experienced one of Europe's emerging golf destinations, where nature and hospitality are as memorable as the golf itself. The circuit then travelled to Madeira's iconic Santo da Serra Golf Club. High above the coastline, the championship course offered breathtaking views and challenging play while showcasing Madeira's growing reputation as a year-round golf destination. As throughout the season, competitive golf was matched by opportunities to build lasting professional relationships. The journey continued north to Axis Golfe Ponte de Lima, where players discovered another side of Portugal's golfing landscape. Combining championship golf with the heritage, gastronomy and charm of Portugal's oldest town, the event highlighted how each stage of the circuit offers its own distinctive destination and experience.

The final qualifier took place at Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club near Sesimbra, one of Portugal's most highly regarded courses. Set within the Arrábida Natural Park, its immaculate fairways and spectacular surroundings provided a fitting conclusion before the country's leading teams progressed to the National Final. That climax came at Praia d'El Rey Marriott Golf & Beach Resort in Óbidos, where the Audi National Final brought together Portugal's top corporate golfers for two memorable days overlooking the Atlantic. Following an exclusive sunset cocktail, the competition delivered one of its closest finishes in recent years. Bluetriumph's João Paulo Pingo and Luís do Pão secured the national title after a dramatic play-off, earning the honour of representing Portugal at the World Corporate Golf Challenge World Final in Beijing this October.

Beyond the leaderboard, the tournament reinforced Portugal's position as one of Europe's leading golf tourism destinations. Throughout the season, participants experienced a unique combination of world-class golf, luxury hospitality, exceptional gastronomy and authentic local culture. From the volcanic beauty of the Azores and Madeira's mountain landscapes to the heritage of Ponte de Lima, the natural splendour of Sesimbra and the seaside setting of Óbidos, the circuit showcased the remarkable diversity of Portuguese golf.

As Portugal's champions prepare to compete in Beijing, they also carry the story of a tournament that has become an ambassador for the country itself—demonstrating that Portugal is not only a destination to play golf, but a place where business, culture, hospitality and unforgettable travel experiences come together. The success of the 2026 World Corporate Golf Challenge Portugal was made possible by the support of its partners and sponsors, whose continued commitment helps strengthen one of the world's leading corporate golf tournaments while promoting Portugal as a premier destination for golf, business and luxury travel.
