Joana and Beatriz, Portuguese sisters and founders of Skin Philosophy, are redefining skin culture in Portugal. From their Lisbon-based concept space, they advocate for a philosophy rooted in consistency, prevention, and the belief that beauty is a ritual — not a procedure.
What inspired you to create a lifestyle brand focused on wellness and skincare?
We created Skin Philosophy from a desire to approach skincare with intention rather than urgency. We were inspired by Korean beauty culture, where consistency and prevention matter more than quick fixes. We wanted to build a space that promotes long term confidence through education, discipline, and daily rituals.
Skin Philosophy combines a product line with a clinic membership model — how do you balance these two aspects to provide both expert treatments and at-home care?
Professional treatments create momentum. Daily rituals maintain it. Our membership model connects both, ensuring that in-clinic expertise and at-home care work together seamlessly to deliver lasting, sustainable results.
Which treatments, experiences, or products would you recommend this Spring to enhance wellbeing?
Spring calls for luminosity and lightness. We recommend glow-focused facials that revitalise tired skin, paired with antioxidant serums and a breathable daily SPF. As the season shifts, refreshing and protecting the skin is the simplest way to feel renewed.

How do you shape the brand’s vision and values, and what do you think makes your partnership successful?
Our vision is guided by intention, transparency, and long-term thinking. We care deeply about how clients feel, whether they interact with us online, in-store, or in the clinic. As sisters, we share the same standards and attention to detail, which allows us to build with clarity, trust, and genuine care.
What are your plans for 2026?
We plan to expand our concept with the opening of a dedicated wellness area, strengthening the connection between inner wellbeing and healthy skin. We aim to create an immersive environment where clinical treatments and restorative rituals are thoughtfully integrated. Alongside this expansion, we will continue investing in education and community, growing intentionally while preserving the integrity and long-term credibility of the brand.
