Winner of the 2025 Pastry Innovation Special Award and World Champion of Frozen Desserts in 2014, Yazid Ichemrahen unveils “At Home,” his new Parisian haven, imagined as an intimate extension of his own apartment, where gastronomy, art, and emotion meet.
At twenty-two, he was crowned world pastry champion. Today, Yazid Ichemrahen is far more than a chef, he’s a creator who sculpts emotion through flavor. Born in Épernay to a French mother and an absent Moroccan father, he grew up between foster homes and instability, transforming adversity into an inner fire. Very early, he found in pastry a form of expression, a way to turn discipline into art and resilience into light.
Trained by masters such as Joël Robuchon and Pierre Hermé, Yazid learned the codes of haute gastronomy before daring to rewrite them. His book Un rêve d’enfant étoilé and its film adaptation À la Belle Étoile (Prime Video, 2023) retrace a rare path, that of a self-taught chef who rose from nothing to embody a new form of excellence: authentic, human, and luminous.
“Pastry must once again speak to the senses, to memory, to what makes us human.”
At Home — a Parisian sanctuary
Opening in September 2025 in the heart of Paris’s 1st arrondissement, At Home is more than a restaurant: it’s a sanctuary of taste and feeling.
“It’s my apartment, my refuge — the place where I feel good and where I welcome my guests,” confides Yazid.
Every detail bears his signature: interiors designed by Galotti, an olfactory identity created with Robertet, and creations that unite precision with poetry. From the kitchen to the dining room, each space tells a story, one of beauty, authenticity, and emotion.
The essence of tomorrow’s pastry
For Yazid, the future of pastry lies in purity rather than excess. “We’re moving from performance to presence,” he explains. At At Home, this philosophy translates into creations that are light, balanced, and rooted in the seasons. Here, tea time becomes a mindful ritual — a celebration of simplicity, generosity, and grace.
Between the street and the stars, Yazid Ichemrahen embodies a new generation of chefs — free, daring, and sincere. His world reminds us that true luxury lies not in grandeur, but in emotion.
